My favorite Mono Line For More Than 30 Years
I use braid almost exclusively these days but what can I say. This is Berkley Trilene. I have been using this line for a LONG time - at least 30 years. I try just about every new line as it comes out but in the end I always go back to Berkley Trilene for mono.
This line goes on the spool nice and smooth and comes off the spool just the same on a cast. None of those big spiderwebs you get with some other lines. This line also has excellent knot strength, and the abrasion resistance is great for a mono line.
Being able to see line movement can be very important and the clear/ Blue Flourescent color has been very helpful for me, As I get older and my eyes struggle more and more to see line my appreciation grows for the increased visibility of this line under certain conditions.
Whether you are using it on baitcasting or spinning reels Berkley Trilene is the smooth casting, smooth retrieving and strong line that won't let you down!!!
