This router becomes useless just in a few hours, it is in extremely low quality

This router only lets me enjoy it for about 2 hours. My Internet bandwidth is 20Mbps, after I use this router as the middle hardware for forwarding, it becomes less than 2Mbps. After I use it, its DNS resolution part is not working stably and it even causes about 1 second delay when I try to visit some famous websites like Google.
The wireless part is also quite terrible. My laptop is only 2 meters away from the router, however it takes about 40ms to ping the gateway address in the router.
I think either the hardware in this router is very obsolete or its software algorithms are designed by some idiots.

Great for use as an extension through existing router, good value!

This router does not have a telephone line connection socket, only an Ethernet connection so its limited out of the box to cable providers ethernet sockets for wireless set-up or direct connection with PC for non-wifi use. A bit pointless, huh? The other way to achieve a wifi connection is to connect this router to a modem (hello 1980's) or to a telephone line equipped router using one of the ethernet (yellow) cable ports of the 'donor router' and plugging the other end into the internet port (also yellow colored) of this Belkin router. Set-up the router using the supplied CD on your PC, enter the supplied SSID and password when prompted and you're ready to surf! You can swap between routers (connections) as you wish. I use the Belkin connection as it has a slightly stronger signal but mostly because of my smartphone. My tel-line equipped Netgear router (the 'donor unit') will not allow connection to my phone ('Authentication Problem'). The Belkin on the other hand has no issues. I'm now enjoying wifi internet on my phone at home! By the way, your existing tel-line connected router will not be affected in anyway. Belkin Wireless Router Easy Set-Up!

I purchased this router here on eBay. I had never set up a wireless network or router before and wasn't sure if I would be able to do it correctly. To my surprise, It was very easy to do. This comes with a disc and pretty much I set up my own wireless network with ease. There are some confusing areas, but for the most part it was simple. The Belkin router works great and I have excellent reception...4 bars! I would recommend this router for a "general" home network. Nothing fancy, but it gets the job done.Read full review...

horrible router

With a 60 mbps service provider, i could not get speeds above 14 mbps regardless of wireless transmit channel or any settings adjusted. I was less than 10 feet away from router with a clear line of sight and no devices causing wireless interference. Hooked my Netgear back up and immediately received over 60 mbps. Not to mention, i ordered 20 of these and tested all of them. Spend the extra money and get a real router.Read full review...

It works great. Buy it if you need a cheap router for everyday normal use.

I'll start by saying that I use my internet for email, transferring and downloading PDF and Word files, and watching videos online using a desktop computer, laptop, and a smart phone. Sometimes I download larger files and that takes time, but that is probably more so from older computer equipment. This router works great for all of those things including no buffer for video streaming. If I have friends over and they connect to the router, all of them can enjoy music or video streaming without hassle. This router was very cheap in price, sturdy in design, and works better than I thought it would have. I'd recommend it to anybody that is a lighter user (I don't play online ps3/4 or Xbox games so I don't know how this would do with that set up).
