Behringer Bias of Simplicity

I purchased this as a backup and supplemental mixer for my X-Air 18 digital mixer. Contemplated and researched the standard brands, Yamaha MG12XU, Mackie ProFX12v2 , Soundcraft EFX8, Alto Professional Live 1202, and Allen & Heath and ended up with the Xenyx 1832USB mixer. Great Xenyx pre-amps for the XLR inputs, clean with virtually no noise adn great dynamic range. I like the one knob compressors on each XLR inputs and the multiple AUX and Sub Outputs for such a small form factor. Great versatility, with USB/audio interface to my laptop with free"Tracktion" recording and effects software from Behringer website. TAP function for Delay effects processor and more. Yes,some audio engineers still have the perception that Behringer is just a mediocre, lower grade audio components company. Maybe in the past, but they are a very viable and reliable, producing great robust sounding products. I am set and feel confident when working any of my live events.Read full review...
