Never got to play because Origin and EA have their fingers in their orafice

This game requires a FAST internet connection. NOT the basic internet connection. Dial up FORGET IT!.
You will first spend a couple of hours loading the game. Then you will be prompted to "update the game" About 8+ GB of data. After you do all of that, you might end up like me. Who by the way, is capable of writing HTML, Creating Flash Video, Editing video with Adobe CS6. I have built my own computer without anyone holding my hand. I digress.
I ended up spending hours upon hours trying to get a hold of a chat rep in India somewhere. Where I had some one try and re-install my game. Really? So I have been escalated in the meantime. I had to follow up as I did not get any follow up after waiting 16 days! I waited on Chat for another hour to get yet another Level 1 tech who was so eager to help me uninstall and re-install. I declined and asked him to escalate my case as was supposed to be 'in the works' already. So Since New Year's Eve. I have not played one second of the video game.
I am writing this up as of the 23rd. So what does that tell you?
My Computer is a PC z77 Platform with an Ivy Bridge CPU 3770k Intel with 16gb of ram. My computer can handle two editing programs open at the same time. Just so you know that it is not my computer, The O.S is Win7Pro. I use 4 drives drives two are 256 ssd's and two are 3tb hdd.
My computer will run anything. But this game it seems. Between Origin and EA Sports I would recommend finding another game that is not reliant on Origin or the likes of.
Oh and the icing on the cake...Is the Chat window for support will say less then 5 minute wait when you log in yet it takes over 45 minutes to connect with a level rep. Who takes 45 minutes to just check status and get a straight answer on if your case has been forgotten or not. Outsourcing to some real numb skulls!Read full review...

Fun, Action Packed, Challenging Battlefield experience with minor glitches.

Fun, action packed and challenging. However several minor glitches after dying which require a restart of the current missions in order to proceed make the game aggravating to say the least. The character you're supposed to follow gets stuck and just sits there waiting on something to happen which never does. Some of the cut scenes freeze the game and even after a restart the only way to continue is to skip the cut scene. Not the computers fault, dell xps 15, i7, win7 pro 64, 16gb ram, 512 ssd, nvidia 630m. Runs other top shelf games without issues (COD Black Ops 2, Mass Effect Trilogy, etc.) I do find it aggravating for the game to have to launch Origin first (wait to sync to the cloud), then IE second (wait for the battlefield 3 site to open), then select what you want to play, Single player, Multiplayer, co-op, (wait some more) then the game launches. Sometimes it switches to the minimized game, but more often than not, you have to click it in the task bar to maximize. You cannot switch between the different game modes while in the game. You have to close out and go back to the browser and select it from there. That's just stupid. On a good note, the Graphics are amazing and the story line has you playing for hours nonstop (that is until a cut scene freezes and you have to relaunch the game). Good game, with intermittent issues caused by OriginBattlelog.

The game was just as described, includes all the expansion and all. Though i am pretty disappointed with the quality of OriginBattlelog. I have had a good amount of issues with it, i am displeased with EA for using this software to run the game. I hate the idea of using and internet browser to run a game. Plus i have had intermittent crashing while trying to play Multiplayer. If you want to play BF3 i would definitely recommend using another platform. At the same time the graphics look amazing and the campaign is very enjoyable, no crashing whatsoever.Read full review...

battlefield is dead!

pros- looks quite real
cons-dont care for the lack of coop (6 maps) and to get to them you must unlock. it allows only 2 player coop? yawn..
single player is nothing but follow the leader with pre-planned missions. no free roam here folks. doesnt really allow much of "do it your way" which gets boring fast. the expansions are all for multiplayer only. no coop, no single player.
and even with all the added maps it just feels all the same. just team vs team over n over n over...again and again-- yawn. even the coop is just single player pre-planned but with 2 players? fail!

great game, but a steep learning curve

great game if you have the system to run it. I still prefer the look of BFBC2 however. The game has so much and the maps are so large, it requires a lot of time to learn.

EA make the best games. cant wait got battle field game end to be released
