This little machine is great if you don't like to peel and slice apples. It simply turns the apple against a sharp blade and peels the skin off as you turn a lever. Mine has great suction pad to hold the machine to the counter top, even with uneven tiles. That's really important to making it useful at all. My son has the same machine and it's suction pad doesn't stick so his Corer is difficult to use. I don't know how you determine the suction pad's strength prior to buying it, but I wouldn't buy a used one without asking about the suction pad.Read full review

Times Are Always Changing

Mostly, it's the same great Back to Basics peeler/corer we've been using for the last 30 years. We've tried a few different brands and styles and this one has served us best. The corer/slicer blade is not as beefy as on the old ones, made of thinner, more bendy metal. It works well but I'm a little leery of gradual cheapening of a timeless classic.Read full review
