This isn't a product its a solution

I was a sceptic at first, but when the product arrived I could tell these guys had actually done there research, were using quality materials, had everything properly documented and supplied everything necessary all neatly packaged up with complete end to end installation instructions and online help if required. Guys thanks very much you saved me thousands and I am back on the road wiht no further problems. I installed myself and my only recommendation I would make is your do an online video of the step by step change over instead of those photo's which really aren't high res so you find yourself checking and checking again. But overall pure genius guys you developed a solution to an engineering flaw!! Thanks again.Read full review...

It works.

I had the notorious V8 water transfer front seal leak on my BMW, cost of repair by local BMW dealer would have been thousands of pounds even an expanding water transfer pipe from the US would have been expensive, plus the engine strip down would have been hours of labour.
I sent away for Bimmerfix , followed the instructions to the letter and IT WORKED.
It has saved me a mint in money and car down time, been running for 250 miles at present, no leak!!
I highly recommend this product as the first and by the look of it the last repair to this terrible BMW design fault.

Leak Repared

Very easy to install and takes less than half the time of replacing the transfer tube. Not sure how long the repair will last, but I see no reason why it shouldn't last as long as the engine. If you are not replacing the water pump at the same time make sure you order all the o-rings and connecting tube as they do not come with the kit.Read full review...

BimmerFix Coolant Pipe repair - so far so good

BMW X5 E70 4.8i 2008.

At 167700 kms water transfer pipe started to leak. 167750 kms it was time to replace/repair as the leak was getting worse.

I didn't want to gor for an OEM replacement due to cost and I feel replacing a flawed component with the same flawed component that would fail again.

The stent made sense as it would cover 3 inches of pipe and timing cover are instead of a millimetre or so of seal and timing cover (a slit if you like).

If you follow the instructions and ensure you emery the timing caver and inner transfer pipe you shouldn't have an issue.

I've just come back from a trip to Perisher and Thredbo, -6C to -10C with a return trip of around 1000kms (included touring around the area).

All is good, no perceptible coolant drop or leaks..

I removed my fan and radiator to give me more room to work. It takes me about 40 minutes to strip down parts to remove the water pump, quicker for re-install.

I thorughly recomend.

Cheers Gaz

Crossover Pipe Leak Solution

I put it in and it is not leaking anymore, need to see how it works long term.

Great instructions and comes with all the tools and accessories.

The sealant is an ordinary Black RTV gasket maker you can get at Sutozobe for $6. The stent is custom made and would be tough to make.

If it holds up it is worth the money.

Cost efficient and quick

The product arrived fast and was packaged very well. I was slightly intimidated by the amount of items that came in the package but the instructions were very easy to follow and I was able to complete the job just fine. Great alternative to the more expensive option!Read full review...

skeptical

I really didn't think it was going to work but oh well have to try some new things. the mechanic told me 5900$ to fix the transfer pipe seal and i was floored. I put the Bimmer Fix in and prayed. It worked like a charm. (I still cant believe it but it is working fine with no problems. Thank you Bimmer Fix for the help. And Jeff thanks for the advice and confidence.Read full review...

Back on the road, without leaks!

I rated this product 5 star because, so far it worked! I have driven a few hundred miles so far. If you have the coolant transfer pipe leak, you already know its A LOT OF WORK to fix a 1 dollar oring. At the age of our E65 E66's its just not worth spending the money to have a shop fix this leak. The cost of that kind of job is almost as much as the car is worth.. So I have to say, As long as this product continues to work, its well worth the money and process to get my car back on the road.Read full review...

Fantastic product and beautifully packaged. Had the dreaded coolant transfer pipe seal fail and thought it was going to cost a fortune to fix. After much reading online I went for Bimmerfix and am certainly glad I did!
