B.F.G. Big Fat & Good

For those reading this review, you proberly already know about nvidia and the geforce 8800 series and where the gts version stands. So i wont elaborate there. lets get straight into this card.

This card is super. for one thing the 800gts is traditionally either a 320mb or a 640mb. This card is right between with a nice 512mb which is more than enough for your gaming needs.

The bus speed on it is 256 bit though which is actually smaller than the 320bit on both of the afore mentioned cards. but it makes up for it with higher clock speeds and memory bandwidth, which is really and truely what will give your those great frames while gaming.

Dont get me wrong, 320 bit memory would hvae been nice too. But at the price, this card rocks. Its also and overclocked edition from BFG so you know what that means.

But one thing that always worries people when they are getting into graphics cards is cooling. This is a dual slot graphics card, so it has a pretty decent cooler on it. Its actually a similar cooler to what is found on nvidia gtx 200 series. So it does a great job of keeping the GPU, memory and voltage regulators nice and cool. And the fan is quiet most of the time except when gaming hard.

Overall i give this card a 8 out of 10 for the 8800 series of cards. the one thing that can tough it would be a 8800 gtx and 8800 ultra. and even then it would put up a good fight.

AWESOME CARD!!

This particular card was #6 for me to buy. I've had absolutely no problems with it's performance and it still remains in the top few BEST CARDS out there! Even New GpU's out still can't mactch the clock speeds and rates this card has been oc'd stock. GREAT CARD I have 3 SLI machines all running this same Card, all dual sli and oc'd. only disadvantage is it only Dual-SLI capable.. I would like to maybe step up to tri-SLI but these card satisfy me for a while to come.
Thanks.

Add a DVI-to-HDMI adapter and extend your screen to your TV

The specs of this graphics card is close to today's mid-range HDMI cards except that it has DVI output. Get a used card and combine it with an inexpensive DVI-to-HDMI cable and extend your screen to your TV. Also if you have another card of the same type, you can share the GPU power between them using an SLI bridge that comes with your motherboard.Read full review...

Great Video card.

A generation or tow old and a bit bulky but the technology is great and the price is reasonable!

Great Product!

Excellent video card! Not the new generation but a transitional version. Runs any game you throw at it. Works with high resolutions. Not as hot as 8800GT, maximum temp. in my case was 75c, and that is ok.
Got this card to use in SLI configuration with my EVGA 8800GTS. Windows index jumped 4 digits up after the setup, noticeable increase in performance on some games.

Bad buy.

Did not work. Ended up buying one from newegg. Why should I enter 100 characters for a product that did not work?
