Great cd. Would recommend.

My daughter wanted to buy this as I had bought her another Avril Lavigne CD at a car boot sale and she loved it. Well this CD is even better. We have had it playing in my car non stop for about 6 weeks and we are still not bored with it. There is a great mixture of music on it. Great ballads and great rock songs. My daughter is 10 and there is a little swearing but no worse than she probably hears at school! We bought it for £2.99 if I remember correctly. What a bargain! Well worth buying.Read full review...

GREAT

Well, the Album is GREAT, it has good music sound, a nice cover booklet. What I disliked, was the booklet had parts of the song lyrics of every song, not full lyrics songs. I would have liked it much more if it had a full version of lyrics. Anyway I still get to play it. thanks.Read full review...

Great quality and worth the money!

The product was worth the money I paid for it and works fine. I bought it because I am a fan of Avril Lavigne but wanted to get an original copy that wasn't as expensive as a usual high street store. I came to the right place.Read full review...

Change is good.

Avril's sound has changed quite dramatically from her second album, "Under My Skin"'s dark lyrics and heavy guitars. "The Best Damn Thing" is a great summer album, clap-happy and cheeky. The guitar riffs showing Avril's rock roots still remain, but with a pop catchiness that is undeniably contagious. This is my favourite album really!

Girlfriend; The number one debut track is bratty, addictive, and just plain fun, you'll find yourself singing the chorus constantly, definitley a highlight from the album. The video is hilarious also!
*****

I Can Do Better; This rebellious song is my least favourite on the album, but it's still good. It seems to be a wannabe 'Girlfriend', but with the opposite theme going on.
***

Runaway; 'Runaway' is a fight-the-world-with-a-smile song. You'll bound to find similarites to Avril in this song, as she sings about losing phone signal, being late. One of the slower non-ballads on the album, it bears similarities to Alanis Morissette's 'Ironic'.
****

The Best Damn Thing; A call-out-call-back beginning, a name chant, lyrics about PMS and cheapskate guys, this is a very cheerleader-esque song while still having that youthful rebellion from the norm Avril has.
****

When You're Gone; The second single, and a personal favourite, 'When You're Gone' is a great song. A real tear-jerker, you can really hear the emotion in Avril's voice. Beautiful.
*****

Everything Back But You; A real contrast from 'When You're Gone', 'Everything Back But You' is like a huge rant about an ex-boyfriend, classic Avril. One of the fastest songs on the album, the guitar riffs in this song are great!
****

Hot; A song more about desire than love, but still has Avril's rock-chick touch on it. Her vocals in the bridge are excellent.
*****

Innocence; This song is gorgeous, Avril's voice shines against almost nothing but a piano.
*****

I Don't Have To Try; Avril's exclaiming of "I wear the pants!" is hilarious! A fast song with a real rock edge to it. The guitar is reminiscent of 'In Too Deep' and 'Fat Lip' by Avril's very own Mr. Lavigne, Deryck Whibley.
****

One Of Those Girls; More rock and a brilliant chorus, this song is excellent.
*****

Contagious; Like 'One Of Those Girls', 'Contagious' really is...contagious! You'll be singing this one a lot too! It's similar to 'Hot' lyric-wise. If only it was longer...
****

Keep Holding On; A gem, a real gem, truly a highlight from the album, my favourite song from the album. A beautiful ballad without being so slow it's boring. It's also from the soundtrack to 'Eragon'. Just remember, when things don't seem to get any better...keep holding on. :)
*****

In conclusion, buy this album! It's great, and it's hard to find words to describe how great it is seriously, so just listen, dance, and smile to it!

If you want taster tracks, I recommend 'Girlfriend', 'When You're Gone', 'Hot', 'Keep Holding On' and 'Everything Back But You'...but they're all great it's hard to choose.

So...buy the album already!

Have a great day people, and don't forget to click 'YES' if you found my review helpful :)

Avril Lavigne - The Best Damn Thing: Review

Avril is back! Gone is her gothic, dark era,and now is the cheeky, optimistic, lovesick ,teenage songs!!

I am a true avril fan,and when i heard that her new album was to come out I rushed down to my local shop and bought her album.

It is truely a great bubblegum rock album, with great tracks on it, but it is just missing true originality.take gwen stefani's album 'love.angel.music.baby ( i love her as well :D) it was so original and creative that it even had it own brand! why cant every album be like that.

Here are reviews of all her songs:

1: Girlfriend-a great first single, truly the best of bubblegum rock. has a cheeky, teenage feel to it-5/5

2: I Can Do Better-a good, pop rock song.hoping for it to be a single :D-4/5

3: Runaway- gives swift reminders of avrils last style- 3/5

4:The Best Damn Thing-a catchy rock song. might be a single :D-5/5

5: When Your Gone-one of the best songs on the album!! set to be the second
single.a great, tearful love ballad about being addicted to your lover like never before.-5/5

6: Everything Back But You- i really do like this song.a good popish rockish song.-4/5

7: Hot-a great catchy rock song with a cool feeling to it.hoping for it to be a single-5/5

8: Innocence-a beautiful pop ballad about teenage innocence.one of the best songs on the album.has to be a single!! -5/5

9: I Dont Have To Try-not one of the best songs on the album but worth a go :)- 3/5

10: One Of Those- i really love this osng.one of the most rockish songs on the album.hopefully will be a single!-5/5

11:Contagious-a good song, but i normally skip past this song.worth a go though!-3/5

12: Keep Holding On-on the Eragon soundtrack.a really gret finish to a great album.a pop ballad about friendship.-5/5

OVERALL- 9/10: one of the best teenage bubblegum rock albums at the moment. I definately would recomend buying this, especially if you an avril fan.

GO AVRIL YOU ROCK!!!

Avril Lavigne is The Best Damn Thing!

Avril’s long awaited 3rd album, from the beginning, has lived up to all of my deepest expectations. After “Under My Skin”, honestly, I wasn’t sure what exactly I expected. But Avril has surprised and shocked millions of fans by completely changing her style-for the better. And to date, I still can’t get it out of my head. One of my favourites is “Runaway”,a song about forgetting all your problems and getting away from it all. I also love, like most, “Girlfriend”, one of the best , and most up beat tracks of 2007. I have to admit, after hearing this song for the very first time, I was quite unsure about the rest of the album. But I was overjoyed to see that she maintained her bratty, boy-bashing attitude throughout, yet managed to keep it so unisexual that anybody could enjoy it. “One Of Those Girls”, and “I Don’t Have To Try” are very alike in style, yet are both instant hits, in my view. However, I personally feel that Avril’s attempts at ballads the third time round have, unfortunately, missed the mark in my books. While “Keep Holding On” grew on me, with it’s long, slow, and blissful notes, “Innocence” and “When You’re Gone” (the second single) seemed too alike and forgettable to be worth more than a couple of listens. But a quirkier and very unpredictable side to Avril’s style can be seen in “Hot”, a hard-hitting masterpiece, and “I Can Do Better”, one of the most immature yet frankly coolest tracks on the entire record. There is nothing left to say, except that Avril has surpassed most people’s expectations once again in creating a very near perfect album. Go and buy it NOW!!!Read full review...

Avril Lavigne - The Best Damn Thing

I think this is by far her best album, perhaps it doesn't have the great hits of Let Go, it does have it's charm, the only con I can find is the fact that Avril sounds like she's 15 y.o, but the album works well and it's really catchy. Here's my rating by sing 1. Girlfriend 10/10 It's just fun!!! Love the "So Whatever" 2. I Can Do Better 9/10 This song just rocks 3. Runaway 10/10 Definitely my favorite...reminds me old times, this one should be a single 4. The Best Damn Thing 10/10 Just catchy!!! 5. When You're Gone 10/10 Damn this girl really knows how to make awsome ballads 6. Everything Back But You 9/10 When I first hear this one it sound like Blink-182 if Avril were main vocalist 7. Hot 7/10 This isn't quiet good, bun neither bad 8. Innocence 9/10 This is actually another nice ballad, but not as good as the last.. 9. I Don't Have To Try 9/10 Sounds kinda hip-hop 10. One Of Those Girls 10/10 Put the volume up!!! 11. Contagios 9/10 Really contagious!!!! 12. Keep Holding On 10/10 Definitely one of her best songs everRead full review...
