Best for me

The best I've ever used microphones to record drums.
And on stage are the best too.
The D6 KICK to capture the natural sound of it, needing almost no equalization.
The i5 is great for the SNARE and also to capture the sound of guitar amplifiers.
The D2 TONS us are great.
Now in the D4 FLOOR TONES, is what sets him better.
The ADX51 are perfect for the hi-hat, overheads, acoustic guitar, snare bottom, cajon.

In short, it is an excellent set of microphones.
I use and recommend to anyone who wants a quality sound to use.

AUDIX DP series drum mics - THE choice of SERIOUS professionals ....

I bought these as I had a chance to use a dp7 kit to record with before, and they were without a doubt the BEST drum mics I had ever used, so I made a vow that MY studio would be using AUDIX mics exclusively in our setup .... I REALLY like the 'plug n' play' factor of these mics ....hook them up ...and record ... get an awesome sound without alot of hassle .... its that simple .... IMO - AUDIX mic kits are THE way to go for anyone who is SERIOUS about their craft .... to do a job right, you need the right tools .... and the AUDIX DP series of mics are THE 'right tool' for the job

Great sound for your Studio drums

I already tested it for Studio applications and I'm very happy with it. I suggest you to buy an extra i5 for snare bottom (you don't need an extra one for hi hat, the overheads do this job well enough). The i5 is also great for recording guitar amps and the d6 does a great job when using it for bass amps. All in all I'm very satisfied.Read full review...
