If you bought a 58, you spent too much.
If you are on a budget, (who isn't?) this is the way you want to go when looking for a great microphone. I bought one because I'm a cheap bastard. The feedback rejection is so good that you have to intentionally do something stupid to make the speakers howl. If you are a poser like Scotty McCreary, and sing into the side of it, almost no sound will come out! The sound quality is just as good as the "Gold Standard" that the brand snobs fight over on Ebay. It is HEAVY, and solidly built. Treat it with reasonable care and it will hold up for a lifetime. Trust me. Have I ever lied to you before? Get one, find somebody with an sm58 and do a side by side comparison. You will have a great microphone, and enough money left over in your pocket to buy beer and pizza for a couple of weeks. I hope that I have made my point. Thank You for reading my rave and have a fine day.Read full review...
Excellent mic!
Bought this to replace my Shure 58 which I left on a gig. This mic even sounds better. I have Audio Technica mics that I purchased in the 80s, so they certainly stand up and last a long time. Great product!Read full review...

Christmas Present
I have not personally seen the microphone. It was a gift for my daughter who doesn't live near me.

Good mic, especially for the price.
I bought 3 of these for $50 each and I love them. I originally got 3 of them for drums and was going to use one for vocals, but after learning dynamic mics really can't record drums, I stil love the very good sound quality and low price. Can't tell the difference between this and my Shure SM58.Read full review...

excellent "All Purpose" Microphone
the Audio-Technica M4000S, is a fine audio microphone. I use for Public Address Systems, I even use it with a Digital Interphase device (1/4 Phono-USB)to record MY OWN SONGS on my Personall Computer. GOOOD Clear SOUND.Read full review...
