Excellent laser.
Purchased the laser for my Sccy CPX-2. It is custom made for this pistol. The directions are easy to follow and accurate. After installation it was approximately1 inch high and 1 1/2 to the left. The manual tells you where the adjustment screws are located and which direction to turn them depending on placement of the shot. A couple attempts later, I was placing the shots within a 1 inch circle at 25 yards. Would recommend this laser system. Revised review- Found the Liability
As I said in my previous review, this is a very specific item for a very specific gun, in other words, it is nearly your only choice for a laser for the SCCY CPX series. And it is a very well thought out and compact engineered system- form fitted to the trigger guard, simple responsive controls, on/off switch and steady/pulse light mode. I really think it is a winner.....on paper.
I have had some time to fiddle a little more and after viewing some video of the same laser sight, with one very important difference, I have figured it out- its the multi-function on/off switch! The switch that came with my laser is push-button and multi-function, whereas the first generation had a slide switch that only turned sent power to the touch switch to activate the LASER. This new push button switch has multi uses; on. off, steady LASER, and pulse mode LASER. The problem is the switch is not robust- the LASER will come on when you don't want it to, it will activate the off or pulse mode during weapon firing and worst of all just plain out drain the very limited battery.
I am going to use my warranty card and ask the company to send one with a more positive switch. Thanks for reading!Read full review...
