I loved this book as a child when my Mother read it to me. My kids are now enjoying it as I read it to them. Herriot does a great job of showing humor through quirky personalities and situations in his novels. I have enjoyed them all.Read full review...

A MUST TO READ !

James Herriot has been one of my favorite author, especially on cold rainy day or long trips. His stories about his life as a veterinary and the folks and animals he take care of is heart warming and second to none.He can make you cry and laugh in one paragraph and you never get bore with his books.
