Good value
I got one of these broken to fix. It's actually 5kW with the peak limited to about 6kW, if I did my math correctly. This is where the short circuit trip is set. The 6kW peak is fairly long. I think the 10kW surge is exaggerated, at least on mine (it says 5000/10000 on the label). The inverter does not have isolated output, so connecting the AC output to the input side or the outlet ground connection will damage the inverter. It is apparent from looking at the board that the inverter was based on a design that has isolation, so I modified mine to be isolated again. It required making a little custom circuit board to send the overload signal to the isolated input side. It was able to start a 15 Amp (run capacitor PF = 1) 2HP air compressor with the tank full, which is impressive. I only had 2 batteries so that's probably why it didn't trip the 6kW shutdown. Wow!
I bought this unit to power some of my shop tools. In particular, my mid sized milling which has a 3hp motor. My smaller inverter @7.5kw surge does not have enough power. This one certainly does and then some. I am impressed to say the least. Read full review...

I am impressed..
Mine works just fine,
I ordered a remote on/off button. I hooked it up to 2-XS power D3400 123 Ah 12 volt batteries run in parallel which makes one HUGE 12 volt battery.
I ran my frig, microwave coffee pot, computer and the 120v furnace fan for 2 days on a full charge when the power was out. The inverter worked flawlessly. Silent power.Read full review...

Not as good as it is said to be.
Does not handle the power it says it does ran my 12000btu ac for about 2 weeks and it burned up on me. I used my 4000 watt giandel on it all last summer had no problems and it even started easier on the Giandel than it does on this one. I took it apart and about 10 mosfets were burned up some were directly driven by an ic chip which was destroyed not worth repairing. very cheaply and poorly designed.Read full review...

convenience to run all my 110volt electric items
Good value and performance. Only problem for other potential customers is that the unit is pretty big in physical size. Everyone needs to check the dimensions before buying one. I didn't have a problem, I had plenty of space Read full review...
