works great!
Past experience has shone the product is accurate but a couple of years in the outdoors can possibly cause it to fail. posiblythe cause of failure my be improper placement in weather and direct sun.

Replaced old outside sensor that died
This remote replaced one that died after 4 years (and two hurricanes). Unit paired with base in about a minute after batteries installed. Temperature matched base after few minutes. Humidity was off by 2% after 15 minutes. Only difference between old and new remote was the new one had "[thermometer graphic] % 100M))" next to the sensor hole on the new one (meaning it sends for 100 meters) and was new plastic, no aging. The old one had turned that old computer beige color.
The description on all these units have "06002M" but on the back of the remote as long as you have Model Number 00592TXR you will be good.Read full review

Worked for me!
Had a pretty old Weatherstation. The outside temp sensor died even though it was protected in a zip lock back. Tried new batteries etc but the little red LED on it showed no sign of doing anything.<br>Did some research etc and found that the Acurite 06002M would replace my old sensor even though it looked quite a bit different. Tried it and followed directions and it came right up. It's been working fine so far for the 3 weeks that we have had it. Much cheaper than replacing the whole station so I'm pleased.Read full review

Replacement part sinked up as it should
My outside remote unit was lost during hurricane Zada and this new replacement sinked up with my old inside unit easily. I added new batteries, set both to "B" and it's all done!

Nice unit
This unit replaced one that we had for about 9 or 10 years. Gives us temp and humidity data as described. If this one lasts as long as the first one, we'll be satisfied customers.

Accurate temperature reading; Replacement for an alarm clock/weather station
I bought this as a replacement for the 592TX sensor that quit working after ants made a nest inside. I don't need the humidity sensor in the 06002X, but the temperature readings agree with neighbors within a mile or so from me. It is installed about 50 feet away from the house hanging from three fish lines nested within the branches of a small Oak tree. The signal passes through through a bedroom wall that has two layers of siding, Cedar and Hardi plank.Read full review

It's probably ok to replace a similar one, but not for use with any instruments on the same frequency.
It was supposed to broadcast on 433 Mhz, but does not. It will not sync with my present instruments. I'm sure it is a good product, but one takes a chance, unless it is matched to the exact system it came from. Read full review

Good replacement temperature sensor.
Setting up communication with the head unit was fast and easy. Temperature reading was pretty much accurate.

Works Great!!!
I got this as a replacement to the original which stopped working. All I needed to do was hit the reset button on the base unit and it synced up perfectly.
