Funny Stuff

I really thought this movie was funny. A bunch of high school kids disappointed by rejection make fake acceptance letter and end up making their school to fool their parents for a while...or so they thought. Storyline is predictable but it sure is funny.

On the box: From the producer of Bruce Almighty and Liar Liar comes a whole new school of thought, Accepted. ... Welcome to South Harmon Institute of Technology (S.H.I.T.), where the students teach the classes...It's a raunchy, rowdy, flat-out funny college comedy that critics are calling "freakin'gilarious"(Stephen Chupnick, MovieWeb.com)

fantastic movie

Movie description
What happens when you want to go to college but no school accepts you? If you're Bartleby Gaines (Justin Long), you invent a fictitious university and create your own destiny. Playing like a PG-13 version of OLD SCHOOL, ACCEPTED follows the Ferris Bueller-esque Bartleby as he and his assembled crew of college rejects dupe the world by building the South Harmon Institute of Technology from scratch. There's his nerdy friend Sherman Schrader (Jonah Hill), who is actually enrolled in the well-established Harmon College across the way but who helps Bartleby with the logistics; the hyper-smart Rory (Maria Thayer), who put all her eggs into one basket and got rejected by her dream Ivy League school; Hands (Columbus Short), a football player who lost his scholarship when he blew out his knee; Glen (Adam Herschman), a former quickie-mart employee who is about as dumb as they come; and, finally, Uncle Ben (Lewis Black), a former academic who gets talked into become the makeshift school's dean when he gets fired from his latest job selling sneakers at the mall. What begins as an innocent ploy to make his parents happy quickly spirals out of control when Bartleby realizes that several hundred kids have shown up for orientation. As he digs himself into a deeper and more irrevocable hole, something strange happens: Bartleby realizes that he's actually on to something. Steve Pink's ACCEPTED is a lighthearted comedy that has its heart in the right place.Read full review...

Accepted was so funny i had to rewind parts

I was faced with a tough decision when trying to pick out a comedy for the night. I remembered the preview for the movie accepted so i got that and a couple others. Out of the 3 i got accepted was by far the funniest. I loved it accepted had many funny moments that had me replaying them and laughing to the point of tears it was so funny. I mean who starts a college, develops a website that allows people to click and be automatically accepted to the college of South Harmon Institute of Technology, nice acronym. Defiantly a date night movie or a watch with friends and laugh movie. The comedy works well on many different levels. Buy it, watch it, its a funny movie.Read full review...

Accepted DVD

I had wanted to buy this DVD because I missed seeing the movie while it was in the theatre. The movie deals with South Harmon Institute of Technology and my last name is Harmon so I thought it would be fun to watch the DVD. I enjoyed the DVD and thought it was funny even though it is slow in some parts. I feel this is the type of movie that would be great to watch at a party or with a group of people. I would recommend others viewing it. It was a lot of fun to watch.Read full review...

"Accepted" is acceptable

Yes, this is a goofy teenage movie that doesn't make a lot of sense, but it's not that bad. It actually has some redeeming qualities to it and some decent acting from some unknowns. Not bad, worth one viewing, just don't pay too much for it.Read full review...

This movie is so funny. I have seen it at least 50 times and it is still funny. It reminds me of the people I went to high school with and it is just a great movie to relax and laugh with. I would recommend this movie to everyone that likes seriously funny movies because this is it. Every one of my friends LOVE this movie just as much as I do. So I can almost guaranty that you would like it too.Read full review...

Accepted DVD

Accepted is a very inspiring movie no matter how unrealisitc. It portrays a good message by directing itself at the audience who needs to hear it most: teenagers and young people. It tells you to be who you are and stand up for what you believe in. It's quite remarkable how nice of a moral this movie can give off when set to such a level as it is.Read full review...

Accepted

Hilarious! Justin Long plays the underachieving schoolboy to perfection. Jonah Hill has excellent delivery and everyone remembers him trying to buy boots in 40 year old virgin. Blake Lively makes any movie worth watching! She's so hot. Meow! Many great one liners and an overall feelgood comedy.Read full review...
