Good value, not great

If you want a tablet that can double as a full Windows PC, this does the job at a very low price. The screen has some glare and shows fingerprints at times, but not at the angle you are usually using it at. It's 64 bit but uses the 32 bit UEFI, so it's very difficult to get linux to run on it, which also limits booting from a USB stick to windows-based recovery tools. I have a desktop computer with 2 giant flat screens, a ton of memory and speed, and a big video card. I have a Dell laptop, top of the line with all the bells and whistles, I also have A KINDLE FIRE and a samsung android, I consider myself well equipped, and I am very happy with each of them, and I felt it necessary to own each of these devices, they each serve a purpose.

The ASUS T100TA purchase i felt at times the kindle too small and laptop too big. In addition I needed a newer version of Microsoft office and ASUS included this in the purchase, the price was so affordable it was like I bought the software and got the device for free.

I am 58 years old, I have been buying computers for many years, starting with TRS 80, the amazing 286 then the Pentium 100 as well as the Mac that ran windows, never have i enjoyed or benefited more from a computer purchase than I have with the purchase of my ASUS notebook. It is perfect for the student, the business man, the guy who just wants to use the internet, I really did not expect it would be so good for so little money.

My mom is 80 years old and retired, this is perfect for her budget and skill set, Windows new format is awesome, and easy, and does not crash, security is tight.

Both of my children work in the industry, one is an IT guy and the other writes software, they each have a similar machine from Microsoft, which they paid good money for, I paid hundreds for my ASUS and my sons love it, they rave about the performance.Read full review...

Love the transformer!

These little guys are fast, efficient, and have a beautiful screen. Well worth the money! I now have two, one for my hubby and one for me. The atom processor with 2G RAM is awesome. And not to mention you can take it anywhere! I use it for school. When I need to read my online book, I detach the keyboard and voilà! If you are considering this tablet, buy it. Right unit, right price, adaptability as well as mobility. Excellent value.

This product was well priced. The ASUS is working well for me as my primary computer hooked to a LG 50" TV. It will also travel well as it is very light and compact. Have added a spinner as well as an external hard drive for picture storage.

Just right for my needs as it can also function as a stand alone tablet with wifi without the keyboard or as a notebook with it.

This laptop doesn't have windows 8 or a back and front facing camera as stated in the description of this laptop. It has windows 10 and a front facing only camera. Great little 2 in 1.

disappointed

The transformer feel good in hand, smooth when working for less than 300 bucks, I unboxed it, it was bad so it charged overnight, but found it wasn't charging the next morning attempted three or four days to get it to wake, finally got it to charge by purchasing another charger, it keep shut down or log off back to desktop,after a few days I got it to work, for about a week, it just wouldn't awake again, now I have a large paperweight, read some reviews I guess if you get one that still has win 8 on it and no attempted to install win 10 it might work but I decided i rather buy another tablet even if it cost four times as much.Read full review...
