The only problem I have with the modem is that it says that it has 2 ethernet ports. This is accurate, but through Xfinity only 1 can be used unless you get Xfinity to get you another ip address. Other than that, and spending an hour with Comcast, it has performed great.Read full review

An easy replacement for the Comcast/Xfinity modem.
It's a great unit to replace the Comcast modem and cut the rental fee. It's approved by Xfinity, and it offers a VOIP port. However, it requires a separate router.

Defective Chipset
Returned unused after reading reviews. This modem has Intel Puma chipset which has known performance defects. Intel Puma chipset is basis for California class action law suit.
