Used and working, rather have a SLC, MLC or TLC

uses older memory types I believe to be more durable, from my research, unless an electronic part fails, it probably will not be the write limits.

So glad I went solid state! What a difference!

This drive is great! It has really increased the speed. Almost instant startup and great file access and program starting speeds. What they forgot to mention is that they also give you a free download for Acronis drive copying software. I have used this software before and this new free version is great! I have been enjoying my new drive for over a month and no issues!Read full review...

Basic summary

For me this was a good purchase.
It's important to have realistic expectations.
The ssd drive is much faster but you have to understand that even a faster drive is limited by the hardware limitations imposed by the computer you plug it into.
Your internet isn't going to seem faster.
Your video card isn't going to dramatically provide faster frame-rates.
What you will experience is faster boot-up and shutdown times and faster program execution.
The drive operates silently and seems to run cooler.
This was a basic summary of what I have found to be the case.
This Adata SSD is the only SSD I own so I have no other ssd drive to compare it to.
Also, not being a technician or otherwise skilled with computers I cannot be more specific or inclusive of more pertinent info.
Hope this helps.

Good with small exception

I bought this to replace the HDD in my laptop. I was disappointed that it did not show when you inserted it to format before install. I am glad I did. The way it was formatted was not what I thought it was. After researching different ways to see if I could get it working, (I'm a novice) I discovered that it was not named and didn't show any volume when externally connected. I went into Device Management, seen that the volume was there but not partitioned and named. After I did that, it works great. Now after putting it in my laptop, it works great. I can see why people want SSDs. For speed.Read full review...

What are you waiting for?

There's a reason everybody is going to SSD instead of mechanical drives. You just can't compare the speed. The SSD is blazing in comparison to the older technology. As the price of SSD drives has dropped significantly, it's become a no-brainer. Grab one and set it up. It's easier than you may think.Read full review...

I trust ADATA

I have a (very) short list of memory and SSD manufacturers that I trust. ADATA is most definitely on that list. Their products are a great value, they work, and they're dependable. Years ago--the only time I've ever needed service for an ADATA product--they quickly replaced a DDR3 DIMM that began to develop problems. I build numerous computers each year and have been doing so since 1987. My trust in ADATA is based on significant experience with their memory and SSD products.

By the way, I do not work for ADATA, nor do I have any sort of business relationship with them.

Great buy!

I have an older laptop that I use for photo work, doing presentations and things, it it was getting pretty sluggish. I got this drive, cloaned my old drive to it, and HOLY CRAP! This made all the difference in the world! It's more than 10X faster! My laptop is way better than new! Read full review...

Great, reasonably priced SSD!

I've bought a 120gb, a 250gb, and now a 1tb ssd from ADATA off Ebay. Over a year ago I bought a Samsung evo 860 ssd from Fry's Electronic's for $80. These ssds work just the same as the overpriced ssd I bought from Fry's. I haven't had any problems with any of these and I've had some of them for several months now. They boot windows and my games just as fast as the Samsung one did and are much more reasonably priced. I might give another SSD a try in the future but as of now, I'm a huge fan of ADATA ssds.Read full review...

Works, just not on Xbox One X.

Bought this bad boy for external storage on my Xbox One X, but for some reason the Xbox didn't recognize it. I bought a PNY CS900 at Best Buy instead, and that SSD works fine.
This drive does work for a computer still, all my computers recognize it just fine, it's just the Xbox that doesn't like it.
Oh well, I still recommend it if you need an SSD for a computer.
