Kohler muffler
This is an exact replacement for the original on my 1973 Cub Cadet 129. Installation was a snap. Shipping was quick. price eas excellent. A very good purchase, I recommend it highly.

Great Price, Poor Quality.
I purchased this for my 149 cub cadet, first thing I noticed was the outlet was pointing forward and would have been blowing on the front white part of the tractor, not good.
Checked with seller who verified this was the right part for my tractor, he asked what I wanted to do, so I decided to use a cut off wheel and repositioned and wire weld the outlet pointing down like it is supposed to be, might have removed 1/4 in. of material.
Now the muffler barely sticks out past the hood where the original was a couple of in. past, I am sorry I purchased this muffler, went for the cheap price, guess I will never learn.
If you have a old rough looking tractor and don't care which direction the exhaust blows, the muffler is quite quiet and the price is right.Read full review...

Not quite as good as I had hoped
Went to bolt it on and the bracket didn't line up, had to rebend the bracket and got it to work, barely. Bracket simply wasn't welded on in quite the right place in relation to the inlet. Exact replacement for I H Cub Cadet 105 10hp Kohler muffler
This muffler mounted perfectly with a simple push onto the engine exhaust and then line-up the bracket bolt and then some persuasion to seat the exhaust intake and clap. This muffler also is heavy and made with thick material as well noted when trying to drill an eighth inch water-vapor relief hole through the lowest corner near the seamed end and was a little over a quarter-of-an-inch thick noting that I also penetrated the inner inlet baffle. The finish is a quality high temp finish and once under fire did not discolor. It sounds quite like a quality muffler should that is baffled properly with adequate flow -- my tractor now sounds like a sowing machine with some base. Such a deal, ty.Read full review...

Excellent Muffler & Value
These mufflers are made just like the original ones that came on the older Cub Cadet tractors. The quality is excellent and they are built to last. I've purchased four of them so far. As a retired service manager and mechanic for an IH dealership, I know how much new mufflers from the dealership costs. You can't beat the quality, value and free shipping on these. Easily adapted to other lawn tractors
