pistol part is the same as the 50 pound crossbow but it has a better bow part. that being said stringing the bow takes two people to do it which is a bummer if you live alone. Something to toy with

Decent crossbow if you don't expect much. Good for close target practice, or as I use it, for getting wires up in trees. Could not be used for hunting or anything else needing power. Easy to put together by myself. Don't understand people having trouble with this.Read full review...

I don't think it's 80 lb pull but it's pretty powerful. It will throw a bolt very fast. I did have to slightly modify the bolt so the string catches better.

Takes a little work to set up

The instructions are a little foggy, and written by someone who does not have English as their first language. Even the pictures aren’t quite enough to assemble the pistol crossbow easily. The toughest part is to string the crossbow, as it takes 80 pounds of pressure To pull back the bow arms small enough to attach the string. I ended up making a dummy string out of multiple layers of 80 pound fishing line, and pulling that back like a string to pull in the bow so I could put on the actual string.
