Damaged

George Strait - Fifty number ones

To have a song get to #1 is quite an accomplishment. To have fifty songs reach that level is unheard of previously; not the Beatles, Elvis, or anyone else has ever had this kind of musical success. The Real Deal

George has a LOT of hits. If you want 50 of them, buy this album. It's hard to fathom how some of these made it to #1 unless you realize that 'Nobody In His Right Mind Would've Left Her' is the finest country song every recorded and that anything that followed was sure to be a #1 (10 more in fact, in a row, went #1). I think the 1995 Box Set is a better summary of his work because I don't care for the slower ballads on 50 #1s, but short of that collection and short of buying every one of his albums, this is a fine collection.
