Toyota OEM work best.

OEM Toyota pads.

I always buy OEM toyota pads because they're designed specifically the way they're supposed to be made. If you have OEM pads, and you switch to aftermarket pads, the problem is that sometimes the chemical makeup (the actual materials the pad is made of), can interact wrong with each other, and cause poor braking performance, or lots of noise and dust. My standard policy is that when my Toyota pads are about half worn, or just slightly more, I swap out new pads. I do this because if you let the pads wear all the way down, the heat transfer between the spinning rotors, and the pads, allows that heat to transfer to the caliper, causing the seals in the caliper to heat up prematurely. If the pads are replaced early enough, and the calipers don't get too hot, then the calipers last almost indefinitely. This is just the way that I do this, and it's worked for me for years. My Sequoia has it's original calipers on it, and they work perfect. I've purchased aftermarket calipers for my other vehicles, and I'll be lucky to get 3 or 4 years out of them before the seals harden, and the pistons stick in the calipers, destroying the pads and rotors.Read full review...

Parts Benefits & usage

When you buy OEM replacement parts you assure & warrants that your vehicle is sponsored or backed by an excellent product or article. My two (2) Toyota vehicles are always serviced by Toyota's OEM replacement parts because I always do & install the original replacement parts to my vehicles when they deserve & when maintenance period required to assure that it will last more than the aftermarket product last & the risk of not fixing in the way or right it should. Thanks, great buy.Read full review...

EASY INSTALL - NO SQUEAL

Installed 2 weeks ago. Super easy to install (tanks to Toyota for caliper design). Used the shims that were on hte old pads and "anti-squeal" paste i had on the shelf. Brakes worked properly and no squealing noise. Too soon to rate anything other than install and first impresson.Read full review...

Best brakes for the money.

I’ve replaced brakes before in tons of other cars. Toyota is one of the only companies I buy OEM. Most brakes are only good for around 30-40k. These brakes made it 76783 and I off road my 4Runner 30% of the time. Can’t ask for more. Read full review...
