Fits multiple Yamaha models
Owning a 2010 Vstar whose handling was becoming more and more heavy and unstable I decided it was time to get dirty, I was totally surprised to find this model uses bicycle style ball races as standard, not only that the top race was cracked and missing a few balls. After measuring up the old bearings I did some All Balls catalogue cruising and found the 1980 XS250 bearings were the same ID and OD dimensions and only slightly thicker by 1mm. I ordered a set and fitted them in, it was necessary to reuse the original top seal due to the carrier style.
The handling is now so light and solid that I at first thought I had put something back together wrong, after rechecking everything was tight and correct it's now a joy to ride, no more heavy sluggish loose feeling front end. Best money I've ever spent on the bike.
