Whats wrong with a S-VHS Camcorder, NOTHING.
I was very pleased with the picture quality and ease of use.Dollar for Dollar you cant beat it.It has a format where you switch to S-VHS mode from regular VHS and the picture is great.If you dont mind a little more effort you can connect to a DVD recorder and edit and record to DVD.That may be a draw back for some people who dont have the time to edit their work.One thing I wish the manufacturer had installed was a built in lens cover. SO,for half the cost of a digital/DVD camcorder you get a great product.Read full review...
Excellent camcorder. Easy battery charging, easy to use
Very easy to use. I like the fact that all you need to do is find an electrical outlet wherever you are and plug it in for about 15 minutes to fully recharge the battery. Leave the battery right on the camera, and just plug it in.
The viewfinder should be about an inch larger though. It is rather small at only 2.5 inches.
Small lightweight and takes great videos at 1000x zoom.

JVC Camcorder
The camcorder is in excellent shape. The only thing missing was an instruction booklet, but I was able to download a similar manual to help figure things out. It did come with a cassette which showed how to use the camera (but without the manual I couldn't figure out how to play it).
There was a sturdy care case and charger. All in all it is a great camcorder and my 80 year old mother is enjoying herself! Thank you.

This camcorder is easy to operate and has an awsome zoom. The cartridge can easily be viewed on TV or transfered onto dvd.
Good for parts
I was used parts needed to repair one that had broken.decided to buy the camera because the parties served with the needed repair.
