New battery same as the old battery.

Finally got around to changing out the almost 6 year old battery in my Tab 10.1. New battery didnt quite fit as well and it took some prying and squeezing around the plastic ends to get all the screws back in. Once back together, plugged in the OEM power cord and the battery started charging from 55%. I let it charge all the way up, unplugged it and watched a movie on it (Guardians of the galaxy) battery was at 29% when it was over. Watch a YouTube video until battery dropped to 15% approx 15 mins. Low battery warning popped up, cancelled it, kept going for another 5 mins or so, battery life was at 10%, tablet died...@10%. Plugged in charger again, tried turning on tablet...no joy, tried repeatedly for the next 10 mins, nothing. Finally, after 15 mins, it came on, battery still at 10%. Not sure if this is going to be a reoccurring thing but the old battery lasted just as long after 6 years as this new one and the tab would shut down @1%, after auto dimming at 5%. And I used to be able to watch at least 2 or 3 movies before I absolutely had to charge it, new battery was almost down for the count after one.Read full review...

So far so good.

This does appear to be a Samsung battery, not just a replacement for a Samsung battery. I bought May 2019. The date code on the battery is July 2017 so it has been on the self for a bit. Came wrapped in 4 separate bubble wrap packages. Nothing was going to happen to it during shipping.
