Pickups
Installed over the weekend, they have a nice p90 single coil sound. A bit harmonic, but ok for recording, not sure about live ... they fit in my guitar without routing, just removed old humbucker pickups and installed soldered to the pots and worked fine.... when selecting both pickups on guitar, its in humbucking mode...I installed these in a Les Paul style guitar with no real problems..........Read full review...

BIG BOTTOM!!
Installed these in my Epiphone SG-400, replacing the humbuckers. As I waited for delivery, I was telling myself: "For a mere $26.00, don't expect anything but cheap pickups that look good". Then I finished the installation, and started playing... thinking it's pretty good, but will wait to really play them to get the big picture. Didn't take but 30,minutes to convince me these are KILLER pickups, and a steal for the price. The first thing I noticed was the BEEFY sound on the lower strings. Not muddy, but more full and rich with good sound. Then the quirky sounds we all love about the P94/90 starting singing. Interesting Pickups
They have a very interesting tonal property. They clean up well like a true single coil but then have the bark of a humbucker when driven. I do notice that they are slightly quieter than my other guitars and their pickups. But I really enjoy the different tone. I feel like the tone is truly in between a single coil and humbucker. Humbucker-sized P90s
Great value and they sound amazing. I immediately installed these in a partscaster I'd just completed. They sizzle or purr, depending upon knob settings. Great note definition. They're also much more quiet than I'd expected with a single coil. On the middle setting, almost all hum disappears. These observations were made without any cavity shielding on my workbench with fluorescent lights three feet away and all sorts of noisy things plugged into the same circuit as my test amp. Love these pickups! I bought these to replace the Gary Holt signature EMG active pickups in my
LTD GH600NT because I use a Headrush Pedalboard and the Headrush is not compatable with active pickups, a fact no one seems to know, not even Headrush. But these pickups sound amazing! I was skeptical because they were so inexpensive, but the reviews were all positive so I gave them a try and it's true! THEY ROCK!
