Excellent connectivity and functionality make this a very useful unit which will see much use.
The 160GB HDD with plenty of room for storage and the Rip/Burn facility it enables is ideal for personal conversion from other Media and Players for one's personal Film, TV and Documentary and Childrens Videos.

Who needs sky plus, I've got this !!

Bought this hard disk/dvd recorder to record from my sky box (panasonic use a system called external link)it also has freeview +.
Analogue recordings can be dubbed to dvd, which is handy.
I haven't tested if freeview can be dubbed.
I must admit to having a panasonic dvd only recorder previously, so was used to the menu system.
The editing capabilities are very good and are handy for cutting ads out etc before dubbing to dvd.
The freeview + can be recorded whilst the unit is in external link mode (handy because certain channels aren't on skyfree)
And lastly, in it's highest recording mode you can get 67 hours recording.(lesser quality is very acceptable and increases recording time)Read full review...

An amazing machine that not only lets you record from tv to hard disk, but also lets you copy anything you record, onto dvd. its really fast, and easy to use. Great product

I have an identical one, but it's done. New version only allows for recording from Freeview. I am old fashioned and like my camcorder and recording from sky and new machine doesn't allow. My only choice was buy second hand.Read full review...
