Good, inexpensive laptop hard drive
I originally purchased a bigger, faster Western Digital laptop hard drive to replace the Travelstar that tanked in my Dell Inspirion. (my fault) Upon receiving it, I found that the interface was the wrong type for my computer. (also my fault) I decided to replace my drive with the exact same Travelstar to avoid any further difficulties. I have had no problems installing and the drive seems to be running just fine.Read full review...
Good price but not like I expected
The hard drive came packaged very nicely with no problems. However upon installing the unit into my laptop and beginning to install the operating system I discovered that it already had two existing operating systems (both versions of Windows NT) installed! I would've thought that for sure they would've wiped the disk drive clean to make it an easier install. To make matters worse after installing XP Pro onto the laptop it immediately begin acting weird and locked up. After trying to reinstall XP I got the "Blue Screen of Death" and since have had to take it to a friend who is an IT expert to try and get it working again. I will not buy another hard drive from this seller again!Read full review...
