The design could be better

In general it is good. It has a separate smaller overload shutdown for the car cigarette lighter so that it won't blow your car's fuse. It features isolated output, so if you back feed it in to your house it won't create a shock hazard between the battery supply terminals and the building / earth ground. Runs a standard sump pump.

The fuse is a soldered in metal link, so there is no easy recovery from hooking it up backwards. It lacks automatic restart which would be a nice feature to have. The overload protection isn't fast enough. It is possible to blow it out by connecting a large motor. If the motor starts oscillating as motors often do when unloaded and run on a 3 step square wave (modified sine wave), the inverter doesn't detect the current spikes and shut down soon enough. It does shut down the DC-DC stage after it blows to protect itself so the output MOSFET transistors can be easily fixed.Read full review...
