Cool but could be better.
The left button on the d-pad doesn't work so great. Not much at all, really. It isn't a big deal because you mainly only need it to type in a name. And the diagonal controls are pretty much useless when hunting. 90% of the game is played using only up and down so it isnt a deal breaker. But other than that it's a cool concept and a fun game. "Captivating game"
This is not your traditional type handheld electronic game, which in this case is certainly a big plus. It is indeed very well constructed, by no means a flimsy device! The graphics are both sharp and colorful, and most importantly, the game interaction with regard to strategy, i.e., successfully arriving in Oregon, is both engaging and entertaining. Tl;dR I wasn't ripped off.
It gets this rating because the game was in the condition as described. It's clearly been used and was given a bit of cleaning on my behalf. Yet a new set of batteries later and was working just fine.
The real winner here is the price. Too many spots over charge it for well into the hundreds. And I assure you the game isn't worth that price.Read full review...
