Coby MP-C888 (1 GB) MP3 Player - Great to take anywhere
THE LIKES: - Very Compact, lightweight
- Uses AAA battery for power source
- Seems like it as quality construction
- Easy to turn on/off from outside a pocket - very important
when at work and time is of the essence.
THE DISLIKES: - Not real user friendly with Windows Media Player
- No neck strap for when you don't have a shirt pocket
- Battery does seem to die fairly quickly vs other players
- Volume can be a problem if mowing the lawn, etc... it is
limited
The Bottom Line: I bought this player to use in circumstances where if it were to be stolen or damaged, it would not break my heart or wallet. I will recommend this product to others based on my experience thus far. Ipod isn't everything. Thanks, Brian:)Read full review...

And to the other reviewer, have you tried putting a fully charged battery? Bacuase I have one player (and I am buying another one for my wife) and it held me for 2 weekes. I listen only on my way to and from home - each dorection is 45min. So do your math (6.5 hours!).
Overall the player is good for the price. Does very well what it claims to do. A very good thing I liked is it's looks expensive and not easy stretchable.Read full review...

I brought this to replace my MP-848 (256MB) which is basiclly the older version of this one (it still works fine, I just wanted to upgrade to a 1GB).
The MP-888 has an FM tuner which the old one did not have and the menus seem to be more organized. I hope this one is as dependable as my old one, I believe it will. I have been very pleased with COBY products, I own several, they are decent products at value prices.Read full review...

Easy to download music, but battery life is only good for 1 or 2 hours tops. Good for running and working on the jobs.
