Charging cables can go bad.

Charging my 2015 Model S was getting unreliable, and the cable was getting too warm. Replacing it solved the problem, but be aware of Gen 1 vs. Gen 2, in models 2016 and later.

Good product fast charge rates

Good for permanent charging set up for home so you can leave your Gen 2 connector in your car/Cybertruck. Review video on JermTesla YouTube channel.

Original, 40A charging cable.

It works just fine. This is a "Gen 1" cable that operates at 40A. Tesla has discontinued it in favor of a "Gen 2" cable that only operates at 32A, thus requiring longer charging times.

Nice for a spare home charger

I put my new mobile charger in the vehicle and use this at home. It charges are 39mph instead of 31 so it's faster but not life changingly fast. Better value than a $500 Tesla home charger in my view.Read full review...

Damaged car plug

The plug for the car that allows you to open up the door on your port does not work and it’s very beat up. When I look back at his pictures he was hiding a lot of the damage. Not happy. The item works but you have to manually open up the car’s port.Read full review...

Charge at 40amps vs 32amps

This charger has a thicker gauge wire than the current charger that Tesla now gives you with the car. Therefore it allows for a faster charge. The 32amp gives about a 30mph charge. This 40amp charger gives you about 38mph.Read full review...
