Office 2007
I am retired and only use MS Office at home. I did not want to re-learn excel and word as every new release scrambles the menus. I had this product on former machines and since MS allows only a few installations I needed to get a new - old stock release for my latest machine. It would not have been necessary except the hard drive died and with a new drive the old software would have been one too many installations. Microsoft seems to know what machines the product is on and should be able to remove installations on their database when they are no longer in use!Read full review...

Never installed properly. Spoke with Microsoft and based on their walkthrough I shouldn't have had a problem installing. Gave the software to my brother and it worked. 2007 Microsoft Word
If all you are looking for is a Word doc builder, this is fine. However, the con to this version is that Microsoft will no longer support it, so it will no longer create .pdf files for you. I had to go purchase a cheap .pdf file creator to do that (yeah, there are free ones out there, just won't move over images well or won't match the pages with how they are laid out in Word). I bought this product when I got tired of dealing with the idiosyncrasies inherent with Open Office software. My concern was that it would not work with my new Windows 10 system. No worries, it works just fine....and no more glitches that chewed up a lot of my time when using Open Office. Granted, this is the home and student version, but all I was looking to install on my computer was Word and Excel. These work fine, and to tell the truth, I don't know what the other programs on the full-blown MS Office do.
