Razer DiamondBack
This mouse, one of thousands on eBay, is by far the best mouse I have ever owned. I've went through corsair, M.A.D Catz, Cooler master, thermaltake and even Logitech, but razer takes my breath away. What sold me on this product is the amazing price. For a little over $50, I received a brand new gaming mouse with a top of the line 16,000 DPI sensor and beautiful RGB colors that are easily manipulated via razer synapse. The mouse IS an ambidextrous mouse, so the ergonomics might not be on par with what you would typically expect for a high end gaming mouse, but I can assure you even after hours of intense gaming on CS:GO, I was still holding the mouse without an issue and no pain in my hands whatsoever. The braided cable is long and, well, braided, so there isn't any snag when flicking your mouse to the other side of your mousepad. The feet are smooth and almost silent. They will wear down after about a year of use (I noticed this with my mamba) but they offer replacements on the feet, so that's a big plus. The clicks are very tactile and are pleasurable to use. The programmable buttons on the side are fairly well built, and are easily accessible with your thumb, and since this is an ambidextrous mouse, razer was smart enough to put buttons on the other side of the mouse to accommodate for the left handed gamers out there. The only real complaint I have about this mouse is the scroll wheel. Sure it scrolls fine, as the clicking is very nice. But what I'm upset about is the capability to move the scroll wheel side to side to get more options with macro keys and whatnot. I might be wrong, maybe that's just how they built it. But it sure would've been nice to have that feature. Overall, it is a well built product that boasts performance at a very competitive price point. Ok, so what's the best gaming mouse in the world? Razer Diamondback of course. But they are getting harder to find, so I was overjoyed to find this Diamondback Chroma for sale. Apparently, Chroma means the rainbow changing colors on this new edition. Well, guess what? Plug it in, no rainbow. No, you have to download an insanely huge piece of software just to chance the color. And it connects to the "cloud". Presumably sucking up your Internet bandwidth just to change a color. To make matters worse, the new version seems to be quite a bit touchier about shininess, freezing up in the middle of your game if you get a bit of sweat on your professional mousing surface, which wasn't an issue with the old Diamondback.
