As good as Toyota's latest

I work on Toyota's for a living and anyone that knows Toyota lock actuators of late, know they don't last long.
These aftermarket ones are at least as good. Time will tell on longevity, but for a fraction of the price, I will use these all the time.
For those wondering why a Prius C uses a inexpensive one in 2012, but after 2012 the price quadrupled, I will tell you the difference.
If you put the 2012 one in your 2013-2018, it will work the same EXCEPT that if you lock your doors before you close them, the 2012 will "unlock" when closing, otherwise it works the same.
Mine is a 2015 and it works great, wether with remote or switch, but must be locked after doors are closed. To me, it will prevent locking your keys in the car if you don't have smart key.Read full review...
