Replacement for Sansa Clip Plus

For my needs, this comes close to replacing my well loved Sansa Clip Plus. The FM radio works about the same, and the sound quality is good. I miss the ability to record conversations, and wonder why they left that feature out.
It has plenty of music storage space, and adding music has been straight forward.
It is much lighter, and seems flimsy compared to my Clip Plus. The spring loaded clip is wider, and hopefully will hold up better than the original clip design, but I am skeptical. On the plus side, the Clip Jam is about half the price I paid for my Clip Plus many years ago.

Better than a 3 USD mp3, but not for much

Two things to mention about this Item
The first point to mention about this item is that it has all the features that you may need. Radio, Shuffle option, repeat, screen to visualize.

In the other hand, the build qaulity is much better than the generic ones, the components used, the design overall. But it stills feel cheap, and fragile. Not soo much like the generic ones, but you are not buying an apple shuffle.

The item stands for 6/10 on build quality.
Would recommend to use a real headphones, not the ones provided.

Old school mp3 player, reliable with great sound

This is a SanDisk product and is very reliable as most of their products are. I like the micro SD slot in which I currently have a 16GB card to handle all my music. The sound is phenomenal for such a compact, lightweight unit. As the name "Clip Jam" implies, this unit readily clips onto your shirt or pants. It has a standard port for charging and is easy to use once you get the hang of it. I liked it so much that I purchased a second unit for the road.Read full review...

Worth every penny

Had one like this before and lost it. This one is beautiful and easy to use. I made a playlist, switch to the radio set the time, put songs on repeat. It is versatile, simple but at the same time efficient. Sound quality is really good better than the one before.Read full review...

Best Sansa Clip ever

This is my third one - and they get a lot of use. I was unhappy when the last one died, but then the rechargeable batteries will not last forever. But when this one arrived I was amost happy that I was forced to replace it. The changes are subtle, but this is a superior product. I also have an Apple ipod, but find the mp3 protocol so much easier that Itunes.Read full review...

Sweet.

There are better mp3 players out there, but this one resides in the sweet spot of decent audio, small size, simple to use and won't break the bank.

Not good for intense work outs or humid conditions

I like the size and the weight of this device. I also liked having a radio available. I am a runner. I wanted something thing to clip onto my shorts to use for a long run. The first day using it in humid conditions caused it to lose volume automatically, the songs stopped and I could not access the menu. It would always go to the volume symbol. The only cure was to let it dry out. Then I worked out again. It did the same thing. Turn it off and back on and it would randomly go through all modes with no control. I contacted the manufacturer. Their comment was "this is considered physical damage due to mishandling which voids the warranty". If normal working out is considered "mishandling" , then this device does not warrant a good recommendation.Read full review...

Old, but still good units.

These are old units but have never been used before. Easy to use, decent battery life, adding a card helps with the limited memory built-in, and only uses wired headphones.

easy to use

great price, fast free shipping, quality product, so easy to download music too. This was for my 14 yr old daughter, who uses music as a coping skill. She loves the color, the compactness of it and how great the sound is. Thank you so muchRead full review...
