Excellent reminder of health/actiivity; I knew I was not sleeping and active but this helped visualize it to get me going

I had slipped to 3-4 hours of sleep at night and long days in an office chair for the last two years. I knew things were going South but felt the little changes would not stay around and I was only 235lb when I should be 210lb so I thought I was okay. This device helped identify sleep quality, showed me how dormant I was even when I thought I was having a hard walk day. Our family has two of these devices and each work great - no issues in syncing and they were updated to the latest firmware without issue. I bought one new and one used condition. They are minimal and do not have that hey look at me I'm a ... statement. The sizing is not accurate as with a band but it is comfortable. No band display but the IOS/Android device shows pages of info. You can add other workout etc to be recorded, I was disappointed that food intact was not found although I heard it was. There are other apps you can tie into Jawbone so maybe I need one of those if I wanted. Overall I can say it is very simple to use (one button for wake/sleep, if you want to get advanced there are series of buttons to do other things but the one buttone twice a day routine is all that is needed. It would be better with a HR monitor but if you do not require it then it would inflate the price too much ... this is perfect as is, go grab one. I have started my way getting back to form.Read full review...

Trouble connecting

I have a Droid Turbo 2 phone. I am constantly having to reconnect the bluetooth on the tracker. It is never easy. I usually have to shut my phone down and try to reconnect them that way. I like the app. My husband and I purchased 2 of these so that we could dual through the app. It doesn't work very well when we are having to reconnect constantly. The price was good and if they would just stay connected I would be happy but we have only had them for 2 weeks and it is a daily struggle.Read full review...

Fantastic Lifestyle Tracker

This a great little "lifestyle" tracker - the band will record your steps as well as sleep but it's the app that really harnesses its power. You can set alarms which include a gentle vibration anytime you're sitting for too long (adjustable range), when it's time to prepare for bedtime, or add your own custom reminder! As long as the tasks have been synced to the band beforehand, it doesn't requite the bluetooth on your phone to remain on in order to alert you.
My favorite feature is the smart alarm, which will wake you up to 30 minutes before the time you set. The intent is to wake you when you're in light sleep. I used to use an app for this and I love that I can now sleep with my phone on the opposite side of the room since the band will alert me.

The only downside to the product is the fact that it's discontinued and the manufacturer no longer provides product support. I'm not sure how old my band is (purchased from eBay in 2018) but it does not hold the advertised 2-week battery life. I find that if I turn off the UP app and bluetooth on my phone, it can last for about two days. The solution to that would be to charge it while you're away in the shower, as the band cannot get wet. The downside to that is it considers charging time as time you were idle so if you're carefully watching your metrics on the app that will throw it off.

Despite the downsides, it reminds me to get up when I've been sitting too long and wakes me from my sleep so it's a win in my book!

Battery problem

When I fully charge the battery, it says I have seven days...it's down to one day by the end of the day. I'm also having trouble setting the clock when I sleep. Any place I can find answers to these problems. I'm older and handicapped, so don't think I'll ever make it to 10,000 steps per day, but I push myself to do more each day.Read full review...

Love the tracking I want for an inexpensive price tag!

Love that I get the tracking info I want for an inexpensive price tag! We love it, and so worth the purchase if you don't mind having to sync it to your phone and not having a face on the band. It's so light, Waterproof and stays charged for 7 days!Read full review...

Simple and just right.

The UP 24 is exactly what it claims to be and works really well. (Using an Iphone currently) With so many new products coming out in the fitness band category its easy to get overwhelmed with what to choose. With so many features now, it can be overwhelming also how to use them. This one tracks your steps and sleep and the syncing process is super simple. Its very comfortable and stylish enough without being distracting. The only small issue I have had, is that during the winter wearing jackets long sleeves etc, it gets caught on clothing at the separation area. This is lessened if you simply move the band around your wrist to have the opening on the top. Other than that, I think it will be it will be great for quite a while.Read full review...

Works great but the battery doesn't last long.

It works great but the battery only lasts about three days. The original ones I had would last 12-14 days. It is probably from sitting uncharged for quite a while. It works exactly how it is supposed to so that is great, just wish the battery lasted longer.Read full review...

I like it!

I really like this unobtrusive band that can give me a lot of information. There is a bit of a learning curve and on rare occasion it doesn't measure my mileage or sleep, but it could have been my mistake. One thing I learned is that to have any walking count, the arm with the band needs to move. When I carry stuff, I get no credit! The same is true when I put miles on the treadmill and hold on to the bar--now I am smart enough to take it from my wrist and put it in my sock. I really like the sleep details it gives me: light sleep, deep sleep, time in bed before I sleep, etc. It is good to get a weekly summary via email so I don't have to do my logging by hand.Read full review...

Great app!

The band is okay. It does chafe a little and the ends catch on things sometimes. The Up app is excellent, though! Looks great, works great! It is a little slow to update data from the band.
