Like old friends - comfortable, dependable, and great to have around.
INakamichis are sweet and I have had several pairs over the years, The sound is "comfortable" to me, meaning that the frequency response is not exaggerated in any particular band (neither bass nor treble seem forced). I have no use for the microphone so I can't speak to its fidelity.
The head band comes snug for me and it can be bent exactly as needed, and because it is stainless steel it holds the exact spot for life. Speaking of life, I know that I will get about 5 years out of them which suits me fine at the price. Their lifespan is not related to their sonic integrity in any way; it is limited due to the inevitable decay of the surface of the ear cushions. Then its time for me to open up a fresh, new pair.Read full review...

A once great name relegated to bargain basement products.
Nakamichi when I was a kid was an epic company: Lexus had them build their stereos for their LS ultra luxury sedan and per a Car and Driver test of it against those in the BMW 7 series and the Cadillac Seville had to offer it knocked them to the curb. They made fantastic amps for home use and were world renowned for their warm, rich audio quality. However, as so often happens, someone bought them out and started licensing the once great name of Nakamichi out to Chinese mega manufacturers and these phones are a clear case in point of such: they're not great. For a start, while I know better than to expect much at the price I paid of $8 for the pair (after coming across a few video reviews declaring them fantastic {that the reviewers were comparing them to the Bose on a budget alternative of Beats should've been warning enough} I figured I'd nothing to lose) I was hoping that whoever the Guangzhao based builder was that they may have made a decent set for listening to lectures online and went for them. They're dead and boomy sounding with a flat bass response and even when compared to the pair of $10 JVC Gummy in ear phones I use for running, they're lackluster. The seller is great. The product, just isn't. Avoid, avoid, avoid. The folks that think these are great think Beats and Bose are so as well. They're not.Read full review...

Bass is really good, could use some warmth and brightness though. Very comfortable and the sound is non fatiguing. Looks expensive.
