What's not to love?

If you're a hack n slash fan, you'll find that this game does it well. It improves on some of the shortcomings of the Dynasty Warriors/Samurai Warriors series and ramps up the action to bring KOs into the thousands. The ability to run (ie get across the map without needing a horse) is critical, as are the selections of secondary weapons, big bosses, and various unlockables/side-quests. This game will keep you as busy as any of the classic DWs without the feeling that you're grinding your life away.

Taking the story from ancient China/Japan to Hyrule is the biggest drawback: seeing Zelda characters meet each other in such strange ways pales in comparison to the Romance of the Three Kingdoms and you never really care about what's actually going on during the battle. Still, the game mechanics keep you more than involved. Loving it!

One of the best Wii U games, If you love Dynasty Warriors and Zelda. This is a perfect blend.

I really love this game, it is one of my favorites on the console. The battles are compelling and visually stunning. The whole combat system gets addictive and it almost feels stress relieving to just slash through enemies with link. The character line up is very well. You can even play as Windwaker characters and Shiek ect... All and all i would say this game is perfect for all gamers and kids alike. It's fun, colorful, unique and a perfect blend of two legenary franchises.Read full review...

Very Fun Game!

I love Zelda games so this was a must have. Graphics are really good and gameplay is fun. It's a typical hash 'n' slash style game. It's basically Dynasty Warriors with a Zelda theme. This isn't a bad thing though. If you've played Zelda games, you'll easily recognize the familiar locations, enemies and the playable characters. I'm super excited to have been able to get this game at such a great price and a big Thank You to the seller!Read full review...

Excellent gameplay, tons of content, plenty of playable characters/weapons.

Packed with content and extremely fun to play, Hyrule Warriors is a worthy entry into the Zelda AND Warriors franchises. It has all of the memorable characters and locations of Zelda with all of the mindless, minion-slaughtering action of Dynasty Warriors. The story is passable, though not remarkable. What really makes this game worthwhile is the truly enormous amount of extra content. While there are already plenty of characters to choose from, most of those characters have several weapon types, each with completely unique movesets, so in a sense there's double the amount of characters that it initially seems like there are. Weapons are customizable with numerous ability slots, all of which which can be mixed and matched for special bonuses and attributes.

In a world where $60 games often last for only 8 hours or so, Hyrule Warriors is a total bargain at any price. Its content is rich and varied and keeps a dedicated player occupied for dozens, possibly hundreds of hours. All of the series favorites are here and playable: Zelda, Link, Sheik, Impa, Midna, Ruto, Ganondorf, and more. There are even a few original characters with enjoyable movesets, as well.

Some might say that the gameplay gets too repetitive after a few hours, but if you're the kind of person who absolutely loves the Dynasty Warriors formula of battling thousands of enemies in a huge battlefield with objective-based gameplay and tons of unlockable weapons, then there is a lot to love here. Perfectionists will play above and beyond the call of duty in order to get a perfect weapon of every type for each character, and even those of us who aren't so inclined will find plenty of enjoyment from the extra modes.

Hyrule Warriors ranks up with Smash Bros. and Donkey King: Tropical Freeze as a must-own game for the Wii U. If you can find it, buy it.

New Life For Familiar Gameplay

Tons of fun with the 2 player co-op although it's a bit difficult to turn on. Oddly, after having played other Dynasty Warriors games, this game still felt fresh with just a new skin. Despite its repetitiveness at times, tearing through bad guys is super fun and the upgrading and crafting system give the game replay ability. Adventure mode means a varied challenge every time and DLC is still being released. Recommended buy!Read full review...

Fun and Nice to Look At

It doesn't have a fantastic story like most Zelda games, but I wasn't expecting that from Zelda's lovechild with "Dynasty Warriors" (this is the only Warriors game I've played). I've only gotten to play it once since I got it because I've been busy, but it was fun and I love the character designs. Adding the blue scarf to Link's usual green garb kind of helps transition to his BotW blue.

The game is like new,

Hyrule Warriors still alive on the WiiU

Good game and it is set time limit of 60 minutes. Game moves fast and the map is small. As with any unplayed game it has a learning curve. Only played 2 times so far. Still have to learn the rewards and upgrades. It will be fun.Read full review...

fun game son loves it

my son really loves this game and he loves the fact you can play two player one on the game pad and one on the tv its nice to pick it up for 25 or 30$ especially if you want all the dlc witch will run you about 45 dollars if you want it all so with all the dlc it ends up costing 70 to 75 dollars but the dlc does add a lot of stuff but i still hate how they nickel and dime you for content they should of added from the beginning.Read full review...

Unique and fun

I wasn't sure what I would get when I purchased the game. If read a little about it ahead of time, however playing it was much different than I imagined.

The quests, bosses, and fighting are all fairly unique. I also like all the upgrades that can occur with the different characters.

I'm just starting to play some of the other game types like Adventure, and they're quite different and interesting.

Overall it's a fun game that I could see spending a lot of time playing.

Fun game with good graphics

This game has easy to learn controls, good graphics. The battles may seem a little redundant to some, but I love it.
