Worked well. You need to switch the daughter board out in the drive with your old one in order to get it to work. Took me about an hour to replace. Saved me from having to get a new ps3.

Everything as promised. It took me less then 20 minutes to remove the old drive. I then tried installing the new drive assembly as is thinking I didn't have to swap drive boards. Wrong. As the seller mentions, you have to swap boards. That took the longest as there was glue on the screws. Still with me not listening, I managed to have my PS3 working like new in under an hour. Purchased and installed 2 of these about 3 weeks ago both PS3's (slim 120gb CECH-2001a) are working great thus far with no further read errors or delays. Install took like one hour being careful and with YouTube video. My PS3 suddenly stopped reading blu-rays (would still read DVDs) after it froze in the middle of one movie.
