I needed one for presentations and this is great!
It wasn't too tight when plugging it in that you thought it might damage the slot. Sometimes cables are that way. This went in snug and worked great. Used it on a big screen and sound went right through. The length is great for when you have the projector on a small stand and you have to be on a table nearby. Having problems with lack of clearance around the HUGE and LONG plug
This is a "non-standard" plug around the HDMI and even the thunderbolt plugs. The Tunderbolt barely fits the mac port and it seats only with firm pressure. The HDMI is too long and too wide to fit a standard television HDMI port. It hits against other surfaces. I have never had this problem. If I "jam" it in it seems to cause failures in connection.
If you have wide open access I guess it would be fine. I tested it in a different device and it seems to work as long as there is a LOT of open space around the HDMI portRead full review...
