Maxell is quality
Maxell batteries are better than most of the brands on the market. Have used many Maxells of different sizes and have never had a problem.

Battery life Very Short
The first thing you will notice if you need to use multiple batteries is there thickness is smaller than what is should be. I needed 3 and had to spread my tabs to make the connection tight. The next problem is they are not as strong as ones bought off any department store shelf. Then they go dead in a few days instead of lasting months.

LR44 Battery Review
I have a clock which uses these LR44 batteries. It seems that it uses a lot of these LR44 batteries. Every time I go to my local supermarket to purchase them, it is like $5 for two batteries. By ordering it this way, I can get a whole years worth of batteries for $5 or so and not have to be concerned whether I have another battery for the clock. I didn't want to order too many batteries because of their shelf life. So this is a good compromise in the number and quality of the batteries.Read full review...
