It's Almost Really Great!

Nice kit, full of features, packaged really well - everything you need to use your Inno in a car. I was happy to find that when plugged into the car kit cradle, the Inno even turns itself on and off with the vehicle. I do have one single complaint and it's about the product's design. The cradle can be attached to one of two mounts - a vent clip mount (which would yield great placement but realistically I'd be way too afraid of breaking the vent fin over time by mounting something this substantial onto it) and a small dash mount with both adhesive backing and two holes for mounting screws if you want to secure it more permanently. Both mounts employ the same single attachment clip to secure themselves to the back of the cradle and that's where the design flaw is - that single clip is really fragile! It has a large hole right in the center of it which exposes a screw that lies underneath the clip, and the result of that design is many very thin pieces of plastic being relied upon to take significant stresses at times like attaching/detaching the cradle from the mount, and of course pivoting the cradle on top of the mount so you can get the angle you want. Personally I broke the clip the first time before the thing was even installed in the car! I just attached the cradle to the dash mount and was playing with the pivot, checking out its range of motion and thinking about where I would want to mount the thing - it broke way too easily for a quality product whose original price was set around $200-300! Since then I've had to super glue the tiny plastic pieces back together twice, after breaks in three different locations. Last time I also decided to sand off the ridges that make the mounting clip "snap" into the track in the back of the cradle so it would stop breaking every time I had to detach the two parts. Still, it's a nice kit overall and I'm happy with it for what I paid which it's fair to say was not full price. You could do fine with it as long as you're really careful and gentle with your mount. Oh, and try not to mount the thing in a location where you'll have to remove the cradle from the fragile mount often as I did!Read full review...
