Motor for Sears 10 inch table saw
I purchased this motor for the Sears 10 inch table saw model number 315 I've had for 25 years. My old motor wore out and needed new bearings.
After looking around for awhile I found that this motor matched up with my old Sears motor. So I took the chance and purchased it. It came on time and in good condition.
Everything matched up perfectly with my Sears table saw except the shaft was a little bit longer then the old one so I needed to build a new belt guard since the old one did not fit. This motor has a little bit more power than the original one that came with the saw. It's a little bit bigger also.
If you have an old Sears’s belt driven table saw this will work perfectly. The wiring instructions are relatively pretty easy and work on 120 or 240 volts depending on how you wire it,
Like I said you will have to build a new belt guard as the one on the original table saw will not work. Here is the picture of the motor and the belt guard that I built.
