Nice little unit, but battery life sucks.
Apparently, the battery keeps a disc spinning as long as there's one in there, whether or not you are actually listening to it. Result is, I used the player for 1.5 hours total before it demanded new batteries. Given that the blasted thing does NOT include an AC adapter (which I bought for $3 new), the fact that battery use is constant unless you ACT to make it stop spinning a disk, there's a design failure of how people use it that is just plain stupid.
I feel as though the whole CD player industry is conspiring against me; I bought a low-end "boombox" player from a local big-box store and discovered that it does not have any headphone jack, when I went to use it after discovering that the GPX player eats batteries for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.Read full review...

CD Players did not work
Product did not work. I sent this to my niece and cousin in the Philippines along with CDs. I bought one of these and a Coby (I don't recall if it was from the same supplier).
Both of these products did not work. Although they are obviously in its original package and could not have been a used item, they simply did not work. Now I could not return them as it will cost my niece and cousin a lot of money to ship it back to me in New Jersey.
What options do I have now?

Works Great
I bought 2 of these portable CD players for my kids for Christmas. They found mine several months ago and they would fight over who gets it. They absolutely love them the sound quality is good and haven't heard any complaints about it skipping they don't have a problem using it, it's easy to use just have to make sure it's turned off when done, have found it on a couple of times. I also bought a power cord that you can plug into an outlet if they want to listen to it at night, I bought mine on Amazon just make sure you put the model of the CD player to make sure you get the right one. I read other reviews that the 60 sec anti-skip is the way to go especially if you will be using while walking or jogging. The only complaint I have is I would rather have head phones and not the ear buds, one child likes it the other doesn't, I can just buy a pair of headphones for them that isn't a problem. The ear buds are a little big for younger people.Read full review...

Doesn't turn on half the time.

Disappointed
I'm VERY DISAPPOINTED with this player. The whole tome I used it it was sitting on a desk. At first it played fine, then it skipped now and then. After that, it started skipping more and more until it started skipping about every 3 minutes. The only pros about it is that it is easy to use.
