Small but generally functional

Not what I expected

The plastic sleeved metal arms that hold this visor to your GPS don't fit well when you use the motorcycle mount. They aren't wide enough to go around the mounting plate without deforming the shape. The visor popped off the metal part several times, so I had to apply Gorilla glue.

The visor isn't quite big enough to block the sun without partially blocking the screen. When tilted up enough to see the top of the screen, the sun hits the bottom of the screen which the visor can't protect.Read full review...

Works ok

Works ok but dose not attach very well. It takes a lot of maneuvering to get the wire attachment to hold the visor in place. I would not recommend this until they figure out a way to attach the visor in a better way. The visor itself dose the job but I had to tape it in place. :-(Read full review...

Very cheap and doesn't fit properly.

Seeing it had Garmin on it. I thought it would be better quality and fit. It's neither. Plus doesn't hade much. I went and made one from a small plastic bin that works much better and cheaper.

Very poor fit

It was by direction supposed to fit 5" screen and it was not even close. The sides of the sunscreen blocked the side view information on the screen. The visor also did not exactly fit the top of the ccreen causing light leaks. For a Garmin product made to fit a Garmin GPS, it should have fit like a glove. I was greatly disappointed that it did not. To inexpensive to pay for a return, and I just decided to eat it and not look at any others. I made a sunshield Myself and it looks like a factory installation. Garmin could have easily done the same.Read full review...

Good at cutting glare

I decided to try this sunshade for a Garmin nuvi 5000 that I have installed on my windshield. Though I was never bothered by the sun shining on the GPS scree, I was bothered while driving at night with the GPS on, The light from the GPS screen would reflect on the windscreen and cause a real distraction. This sunshade has been able to cut that reflection anywhere from 50% to 75% depending how the GPS is oriented. The reflections in the windshield are no longer a problem for me. Limited usefulness

The spring wire clip that holds the visor in place fits oddly into its slot in the back of the visor. The springy arms are to narrow to clear the disk on the back that holds the GPS to the mount, thus you must remove and reinstall the visor if you wish to remove it from the mount.

I bought the visor to prevent the screen image from reflecting off the windshield at night. The size is insufficient. I am looking to modify it to accomplish what I wish.Read full review...

Garmin Zumo Sunshield

My Garmin Zumo 590LM (I think that is the model I have) was a disappointment that for the price it didn't have a better sunlight readable screen. When I saw this shield I doubted it would fit (my unit is mounted on my 2010 BMW R1200GS) but was pleased that it does nicely.
