USB to RJ-45 Concole Cable - No Serial Port needed
High quality and sturdy cable which replaces the need for a connection to a serial port or the need for a separate USB to Serial (Male) dongle. I recommend this cable for people who build Cisco labs and use laptops without serial ports (which is all of them these days.) Mine worked after I downloaded the driver on FTDI Chip's website and installed it by using the Device Manager. It's easy to use and works immediately after the driver is installed. I recommend this product.Read full review...

These are great, no more clunky USB adapters needed.
I was very happy with this item, it worked as described and saves me the hassle and bulk of having to deal with a USB to Serial adapter. I only wish I had found it sooner. Connects to the USB port, installs without needing special drivers or software and connects to Cisco RJ45 console ports.Read full review...

Great quality, Works as expected.
Excellent product, good quality and works perfectly with Win10 and CISCO Switches. I had to load the software manually but other than that, very simple to use.

Perfect USB-to-Console Serial Cable
It is exactly what I needed to configure some networking equipment. It seems to be built well and I expect it to last a very long time. It is also natively supported in Linux (at least Ubuntu 14.04/16.04). I recommend this product to anyone who needs a USB-to-Console serial cable.Read full review...

Cisco Console Cable USB RJ45
This cable is so easy to use especially without having to have a serial to USB adapter. It should be automatically recognized by Windows.

Cisco console rollover cable
Works in any USB 2.0 or 3.0 port and appears as a serial port using Windows device manager. USB driver is built into the USB end of the cable and installs automatically when plugged in. Used as a Cisco rollover console cable for routers and switches.Read full review...

Works great
Using for my CCNA Collaboration lab. Has worked great with all of my routers and switches. Much less clunky than a separate USB to Serial adapter. Windows 7 Pro 64bit loaded drivers automatically.

USB to RJ45 Cisco Console Cable
Cable works great however it did not come with a driver so you have to DL it. Once the driver was loaded it works great and no need to have a computer with a older rs-232 serial port. No issues with this product and good qualityRead full review...

Easy to use!
My computer doesn't have a serial port needed for the previous console cables, so this really makes it simple. I don't need an adapter, to be able to connected to my Cisco Switch.

Some improvement may be applied
Well, since it is FTDI-based device, one could make it to assign the same serial port number in the operating system, regardless of the USB port the cable is connected to. To do this, the FTPROG utility may be used. Assign the random serial number to the FT232 IC and write it to the IC's EEPROM. When you unplug the cable and replug it, OS will install another copy of the driver and assign it the serial port that will be sticked to the cable within this particular OS.Read full review...
