A second application.
I am restoring my '67 Olds Toronado and the welts that hold the vinyl covered beads by the back of the door openings were tired and the old, multi layer coated paper products instead of today's stronger formed plastic welt. Since I needed 2, each about 23 +" long, I bought this 4' piece of plastic and cut it to match my originals. I then narrowed both to about .68" and had parts to work from. Because the lower ends each were curved, I used clamps and a heat gun to match the profile. They also were tapered at the end and using the old welt as a pattern, traced a line that I cut with my jigsaw. I then had two stronger, perfect reproductions that not of the high dollar aftermarket Olds catalogs even list.Read full review...

After several attempts at filing, and sanding, and trimming, I finally had to cut it down to size with a saw. But with patience and determination, I think it will be a perfect fit for the rear bow on my convertible.Read full review...
