Canon 35mm FD Lens to Canon Digital EOS Camera

Canon FD Lens to Canon EOS Camera Adapter with Glass Element
This adapter allows you to use Canon FD Lens on EOS Digital EF lens camera. This mount fits between the lens and camera body. The Glass Element allows the lens to focus to Infinity. Supports AV / M Mode. There is No electric contact for AF-Focus, therefore the user can only focus the lens manually. Compatibility: Canon AE-1, Rebel G, lens will fit on Canon EOS Digital Camera. Must have lens adapter in LOCK position in order to use aperature correctly. I love it because I still have all my old FD lens from my 35mm FILM camera, Now I can use them all on my digital T6i camera body. This saves me so much money on buying new lens when I already own them and thought they were obsolite! Wish I new they had them sooner! I saw one while pricing new lens, so glad I did. $20 VS $200 is a great deal. Remember it is in the mount type if it fits, not the name brand. Most, but not all of my old lens are Canon and still work just as good. If your eyesight isnt that great, I do not suggest this since it is ONLY manual focusing.

Works well

Bought this adapter to use with canon FD lenses on DSLR camera - snugs tight but I cannot zoom to infinity. Rear glass of FD 50mm SSC and FD 28mm hits the adapter's glass stopping it from rotating all the way to infinity mark.

I was trying to figure out what I could do, but nothing worked. The adapter's glass sticks out far enough to be on a lens's way.

Worked well with 135mm SSC and 200mm. All lenses that have rear glass far inside the lens will work.

Also, noticed on fast lenses like 50mm SSC photographs become pretty foggy if opened wider than f4. I don't have this effect if I shoot film using the same lenses.

I had to return it. (Mostly because of the infinity issue)

NOTE:
It's my personal experience with this particular adapter. I'll buy another adapter to try.
Photos attached are 50mm SSC at f1.4 and at f4

Good quality, nice fit.

I mounted this on a 28mm Minolta MD lens and took several pictures with my 80D Canon. The pictures turned out very sharp. The camera light meter works well. Lens is only able to be focused manually with this adapter (which is what I expected). Does a good job for the price.Read full review...

Good quality compare with its price!

The Item is OK as it suppose to be. It work fine with my Canon FD 50 mm f 1.8 lens but unfortunately it not fit with my Canon FD 50 mm f 1.4 lens. I don't know why. Otherwise the adapter build quality is look good,
I am still not confirm, how is the Lens quality of the adapter work in different light situation. I need to check more before say some thing about the lens (glass piece) of the adapter.
Over all it look good and I will recommend to buy the item compare with its pr

It does what I want it to do

I was looking for something to adapt lenses I had from my 35mm camera and this did it. The manual focusing is no real problem. The adapter at first for me was not easy to attach to my Cannon EOS Rebel XTI. I figured it out and now instead of buying a new lens I can use this adapter. Just be aware if you are using the lenses from a 35mm you loose the Automatic focus. Otherwise I like it.Read full review...

Very well made!

Using this so far has been very nice. Although one of my lenses doesn't fit as snug as one would hope, all of the others do, so I would think this could be a fault of the lens mount's age. I would trust this adapter to walk around with and hold my lens on for street photography easily. The aperture slide is also quite nice. All in all definitely worth itRead full review...

The lenses inside has to be reversed. (In my case)

This unit did not work as it should.
It focused far behind eternity, and shims behind the bayonet ring, did not help.
The only solution was to revers the lens group 180 degrees.
Then it was done, the unit worked properly.
This unit may not work satisfactory with all FD lenses, but with some. Which one could be hard to tell.
It seems that the largest opening of the lens should not be greater than f:2,8.
In my case, it worked very well with the FD 200mm f: 2,8 and the FD 80-200mm f: 4. after alteration.
