Ok for AA, needs some customizing to work with AAA
Runs noticeably warm. Won't work with AAA batteries unless you somehow force some wedge into the space above the flip-down adapter: without which the AAA batteries simply pop back up and out. I ended up permanently gluing the adapter down with silicone glue as I only intend to use this for charging AAA batteries while on the road (see photo). At home I use a much better quality smart charger. This thing is probably ok if all you want is to charge AA batteries "as shipped". Otherwise you will need to resort to something like what I did for AAAs. PROS: it's relatively cheap, small, light, and fits nicely in my camera bag. Springs are strong and should keep their tension. CONS: it runs hot, needs modification to work with AAA. Nothing to hold the batteries in while traveling (I use a hair bow). Questionable how long it will last given the cheap plastic and hot running.Read full review...
